Lord Deramore’s Primary is a one-form entry school, situated next to the University of York in the village of Heslington. It is the most diverse school in the City of York, with over forty nationalities represented within its community. Founded in 1795, it is oversubscribed and has a long-standing reputation for providing children with a creative, diverse and inclusive education.

We are in the rare position to offer an experienced Teaching Assistant (Level 2) the opportunity to join our friendly staff team on a permanent basis.

The post will be for 28.75 hours per week (term time only), with working pattern to be negotiated upon appointment but ideally being 8.30am-12.00pm each morning and 1.00-3.15pm on an afternoon.

In the first instance, the post-holder will work in our Year 3 and Year 4 classes, supporting teaching and learning. Candidates should be willing however to be deployed as necessary, which could in the future include supporting individuals with specific Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
