Celebrating With Early Years

Early Years made pancakes for Pancake Day.

The children measured and mixed carefully to

make the batter and then chose their favourite

topping before eating their pancakes.

We have also been finding out

about Chinese New Year.

This class member and his family have

helped to explain how it is celebrated.

This year is the year of the sheep so lots of

children made sheep in different ways.

We have also explored noodles

with chopsticks in the messy tray . . .

attempted writing the Chinese

symbols for numbers 1-10 . . .

and enjoyed performing our own Dragon dances using drums and cymbals as accompaniment.

We really enjoyed chopping the

ingredients for Chinese stir fry . . .

and eating it!
