The Comenius Project in Poland

Our school is taking part in a Comenius project with four schools from different countries.

We shall be working with schools from Poland, Hungary, Portugal and Turkey.

During the project children and adults in each school will have the

opportunity to learn about each country's history and culture.

You can find out about the first visit, to Turkey, HERE.

See the third visit, to Hungary, HERE.

The fourth visit to Portugal can be seen HERE.

The final visit to England can be seen HERE.

Mr Longmore, Mr Heale and Mrs Lee visited the second country,

Poland, in April 2012. They stayed near Knurow in Silesia, Poland.

When we arrived at the Polish school we received the traditional welcome

of bread and salt.

There were lots of teachers from the countries in our partnership.

We had meetings to discuss the book we are

going to produce at the end of the project.

We told everyone all about Robin Hood, the English character we chose to be in the story.

During a lesson, we taught a class of

Polish children about York.

Mrs Lee worked hard to follow instructions to make a paper flower.
