Flamborough - The Living Seas Centre

As part of their topic work 'Overland, Undersea'

Years 3 & 4 had a visit to The Living Seas Centre

at Flamborough, on the East Coast.

We were well prepared with our

wellingtons and sun hats.

When we reached the shore we

had a talk about safety and how to

handle any living creatures we found.

We had to take care walking on

the rocks and slippery seaweed!

We had a challenge to complete -

how many things could we find from

the identification chart we were given ?

There was a big bucket to put living creatures in.

Below are a few of the things we found.

How many of them can you name?

The answers are at the bottom of this page!

Each class also had a session in the

classroom, learning about all the other

things that could be found in the sea.

We enjoyed our picnic lunch in the sun.

There was even time for a game before our return journey.
