“Schultüten”

Here are Year 6 making their

buddies in Early Years “Schultüten”.

They have carefully decorated their

buddy’s Schultüte in their MFL lesson.

They had to have them finished ready to be

made into a cone shape and then filled with treats.

When German children start school

they receive a Schultüte from friends

and family on their very first day at school.

Inside they find small gifts such as

crayons, rubbers, stickers .

This is a German tradition which Year 6

have been learning about in their

German lessons with Mrs Pinckney.

On  Wednesday 25th September Year 6

went into Early Years and sang “Hey hey hallo”.

They presented all their buddies with

their individualised “Schultüte”.
