World Book Day 2013
 
         
 

There were lots of colourful costumes in school for World Book Day.

In Early Years you could find

The Dog from Dogs Don't Do Ballet (Anna Kemp),

Dorothy - The Wizard of Oz (L Frank Baum),

Robin Hood (Folktale), and 

The Tiger Who Came To Tea (Judith Kerr) -

he even brought his own tin of 'Tiger Food'!

 

 
 
 
 

The Giraffe from Giraffes Can't Dance (Giles Andreae) was in Year 1 as well as Long John Silver - Treasure Island (Robert Louis Stevenson), and Roberta from

The Railway Children (E Nesbitt).

 
 
 
 

Another animal in Year 2 - the Cat from Chalk and Cheese (Tim Warnes) - was joined by Oliver Twist (Charles Dickens) and

Pippi Longstocking (Astrid Lingren).

 
 
 
 

In Year 3 there was Mr Gumm (Andy Stanton), Hetty Feather (Jaqueline Wilson), Luna Lovegood - Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix (J K Rowling)

and Tom from Beast Quest (Adam Blade).

 
 
 
 

Tracey Beaker (Jaqueline Wilson) in Year 4 was joined by James Bond (Ian Fleming),

Lucky the dog from Cool (Michael Morpurgo)

and Silky from The Magic Faraway Tree (Enid Blyton).

 
 
 
 

Gandalf from Lord of the Rings (J R R Tolkein)

was in Year 5 as well as

Amelia Jane (Enid Blyton) and

Gangster Granny (David Walliams).

 
 
 
 

These creatures in Year 6 are Centipedes

from Harry and the Poisonous Centipede

(Lynne Reid Banks).
