Year 1 have been helping B &Q make some new paint colours. They only had red, yellow and blue to start so they had to find out how to mix all the other colours. 
Another challenge was to make their own paint in the forest. First they had to collect materials, and then they had to mix them. After that they looked for water. They found it in surprising places! Finally they tested their paint out.
The children made their own paints from fruit and vegetables.

Skittles Year 1 put Skittles in water and in milk. Look what happened. One group wanted to investigate if they put lots of water in the tray. Would the Skittles float or sink?
