Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
28.75hrs per week. Term time only.
Working hours: 8.30-12.00 and 1.00-3.15.
Lord Deramore’s Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join their happy and supportive staff team. The successful candidate will initially be based in our Phase 2 classes (Years 2 and 3), supporting all children – including those with special educational needs and English as an Additional Language – in their learning and development.
The successful candidate will:
- Be hardworking, flexible, friendly, caring and professional.
- Have experience of working with primary-aged children, including those with special educational needs and English as an Additional Language.
- Have specific skills and knowledge suited to the role of TA (for example experience of synthetic phonics and the national curriculum; knowledge of supporting children with SEND including autism, speech and language and dyslexia; expertise which could benefit children’s emotional development e.g. ELSA experience).
- Be able to work well with others, including colleagues, families and outside agencies.
This is initially a temporary contract post, with an ideal start date of September 2022 (with the possibility of an earlier start). A wide range of training development opportunities and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate.
