Lord Deramore’s Primary School is looking for a cleaner to join the school’s in-house cleaning team for 15 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who will take pride in their work and be willing to work as part of a team to make sure our school is cleaned to the highest standards.

In return we are offering full training to do the job, £10.90 per hour, working term-time only, and the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme if you wish.

There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to discuss working certain weeks in the school holidays if desired.

The working pattern for this post is Mondays to Fridays (school term time only) 3.15pm to 6.15pm.

Lord Deramore’s Primary School is seeking to recruit a Class Teacher for September 2022. This post is suitable for Early Career Teachers.

Lord Deramore’s is a successful and happy one-form entry LA maintained school, situated next to the University of York. Founded in 1795, it is oversubscribed and has a long-standing reputation for providing children with a creative, diverse and inclusive education.

The successful candidate will receive an initial 1-year contract, with deployment likely to be in one of our Key Stage 2 classes.

The school will be fully committed to providing professional development opportunities to the successful candidate, potentially including middle and senior leadership development. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply for this post.

Job Title: Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA)

Permanent contract; Term Time contract

5 hours and 50 minutes per week – 1 hour and 10 minutes a day, 11.55am until 1.05pm

Lord Deramore’s Primary School is looking for a Midday Supervisory Assistant to help make our children’s lunch hour happy and safe for all.

Main duties include:

  • Supervising children to ensure they keep safe
  • Assisting younger children in eating their lunches
  • Keeping the lunch hall calm, tidy and organised
  • Ensuring a happy playtime for all

The ideal candidate needs to have:

  • Effective communication skills
  • A caring attitude
  • Tact and sensitivity
  • Observational skills
  • An approachable style
  • Thorough knowledge of the school’s policies, procedures and protocols (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to react calmly and quickly in an emergency

The working pattern for this post is Monday to Fridays (school term time only) 11.55am to 1.05pm.
