Lord Deramore’s follows the Department for Education’s National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2. For detailed information of this curriculum, please see the Primary National Curriculum.  We follow the City of York Council Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education; a copy is available in school, should you wish to see it, and you can find out more about York SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education) on their website.

You can also view information on our Early Years curriculum by viewing the following document: Early Years Curriculum & Assessment.

Curriculum Policy and Overviews

You can view our detailed Curriculum Policy here (updated September 2020) which includes long term planning for every year group and an overview of all the subject areas taught at our school. Our Phase 1 & 2 curriculum (EY-Y3) is designed over a two-year rolling programme and Phase 3 over three years, so that phases can plan lessons together, share resources and mutually attend educational visits.

Termly curriculum overviews are provided here on our website for each phase so that you are aware of what your child will be studying in any given term, and you will find further information about the learning taking place in each classroom in the class newsletters that are sent home via ParentPay and published on each the classroom pages for each phase. If you would like any further information regarding any aspect of your child’s curriculum, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher or phase leader.
